Football Recap: Leeds' Undefeated Season over After Five Games

After flying high against Lincoln last Friday, Leeds came back down to earth. The Greenwave came up short against the Jacksonville Golden Eagles on Friday, falling 30-7. The matchup marked the Greenwave's lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Kelvin Hughley had an outrageously good game for Jacksonville as he rushed for 109 yards and one score on only seven carries. Hughley got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 56 yards.

Having lost for the first time this season, Leeds fell to 4-1. As for Jacksonville, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-2.

Looking ahead, Leeds will take on Briarwood Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Lions will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each game than the last. As for Jacksonville, they will square off against Corner at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
