Football Recap: Hanover Central Takes a Loss

Hanover Central lost against Indianapolis Bishop Chatard back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Wildcats were dealt a 49-7 defeat at the hands of the Trojans. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana football rankings (they are ranked 100th, while the Trojans are ranked 12th).

Geoffrey Resney threw for 87 yards on ten of 17 attempts. Jacob Ferko was his top target, picking up 35 receiving yards. On the ground, Isaiah Buikema rushed for 41 yards.

Hanover Central's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Indianapolis Bishop Chatard, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Hanover Central and Indianapolis Bishop Chatard will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Wildcats are set to challenge their familiar foe Highland at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Indianapolis Bishop Chatard will face off against rival Roncalli at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
