Baseball Recap: Caldwell Makes It 13 in a Row at Home

On Monday Caldwell's undefeated season almost came to an end. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 1-0 W against the Shadyside Tigers. Those one runs were actually the fewest the Redskins have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Caldwell pushed their record up to 9-0 with the victory, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Shadyside, their loss dropped their record down to 6-4.

Coming up, Caldwell will face off against Fort Frye at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Redskins 1.3, the Cadets 3) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Shadyside, they will square off against Monroe Central at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Tigers are facing the Seminoles at the right time seeing as the Seminoles are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
