Softball Recap: Greater Beckley Christian Comes Up Short

Greater Beckley Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Cross Lanes Christian Warriors, falling 14-1. The matchup marked the Crusaders' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Greater Beckley Christian saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Peyton Heffernan, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Greater Beckley Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Cross Lanes Christian, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-3.

Looking ahead, Greater Beckley Christian will square off against Richwood at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Cross Lanes Christian will be paying especially close attention to the Crusaders' game: after the Crusaders faces off against the Lumberjacks, they'll take on Cross Lanes Christian again at 5:30 p.m. on the 21st.
