Ville de Marie Academy have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four contests by 22 points or more this season. They blew past Brighton Charter 46-24. The squad ran away with 34 points in the first half and mostly just sat on those to pick up the win.
Despite the defeat, Brighton Charter had strong showings from Jadyn Mark, who scored nine points, and Dylan Mastrapasqua, who scored seven points. Mastrapasqua scored a full 29.2% of Brighton Charter's points, the fourth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Ville de Marie Academy's victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Brighton Charter, their defeat was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ville de Marie Academy's road trip will continue as they head out to face James Madison Preparatory School at 7:30 p.m. on January 11th. As for Brighton Charter, they will face off against Paradise Valley Christian Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
