Volleyball Recap: Young Women's Leadership Academy Takes a Loss

Young Women's Leadership Academy had to start their season on the road on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Laredo LBJ Wolves.

Marielle Gonzalez was nothing short of spectacular for Laredo LBJ: she had 11 digs and nine kills. Gonzalez is crushing it when it comes to kills: she's had at least nine every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Mariana Baeza, who had four digs and three aces.

The victory was the third in a row for Laredo LBJ, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Young Women's Leadership Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Harlandale on the 15th. As for Laredo LBJ, they have also already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Poteet on the 15th.
