Basketball Game Preview: Oakridge Owls vs. Dallas Christian Chargers

The Oakridge Owls will take on the Dallas Christian Chargers in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Oakridge is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.

Oakridge came up into this matchup off a tough 23-point defeat two weeks ago. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of Dallas Thunder by a score of 54-52 on Saturday. The match was a 27-27 toss-up at halftime, but the Owls couldn't quite close it out.

Meanwhile, Dallas Christian was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Saturday as they fell 60-54 to Chisum. That's two games in a row now that the Chargers have lost by exactly six points.

Oakridge will have to contain Cason Walker as he made an impact in Dallas Christian's last game. He went 9 of 15 en route to 25 points and five steals. Walker's morning made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Gary Jefferson III, who posted five points and six rebounds.

Dallas Christian now has a losing record at 7-8. As for Oakridge, their loss dropped their record down to 2-7.
