Softball Game Preview: Jackson Aggies vs. Escambia County Blue Devils

Jackson has gone a perfect 10-0 against Escambia County recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Aggies will be playing in front of their home fans against the Blue Devils at 5:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Jackson is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to ten runs on Tuesday, they were much more limited against Baker on Wednesday. They came up short against the Hornets, falling 11-1. The defeat continues a trend for the Aggies in their meetings with the Hornets: they've now lost five in a row.

Autumn Rocker made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run and one triple. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one home run the last three times she's played.

Escambia County couldn't beat W.S. Neal last Tuesday even though they stacked four runs on them in the third inning. The Blue Devils lost 24-7 to the Eagles.

Jackson's loss dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Escambia County, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

Everything went Jackson's way against Escambia County when the teams last played back in April of 2025, as Jackson made off with a 19-1 victory. Do the Aggies have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Blue Devils turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
