Baseball Recap: Munford Beats Plano for Their Fourth Straight Win

Munford entered their tilt with Plano on Wednesday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They put the hurt on the Reapers with a sharp 11-1 victory. The Cougars not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 7th.

Jaxzen Scheidt made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out six over six innings pitched. Scheidt was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. Those two hits gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Noah Lowry, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Houston Yount, who scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Munford always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .550. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Plano only posted an OBP of .292.
