Basketball Recap: Brighter Horizons Academy Starts Season with Defeat at Home

Brighter Horizons Academy unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They took a hard 52-38 fall against the Dallas Christian Chargers on Tuesday. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

Chase Dencklau had an outrageously good game for Dallas Christian as he almost dropped a double-double with 15 points and nine rebounds. Owen Seely was another key player, putting up 15 points.

Dallas Christian has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Brighter Horizons Academy will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Bishop Dunne at 7:00 p.m. on December 19. As for Dallas Christian, they will challenge Trinity Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
