Thomas Nelson is a perfect 10-0 against Bardstown since May of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 6:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Thomas Nelson had been on a three-game streak of scoring at least ten runs, but Nelson County put an end to it last Friday. The Generals came up short against the Cardinals, falling 22-0. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Generals were not able to get on the board.

Meanwhile, Bardstown was not able to break out of their rough patch last Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 9-2 to Metcalfe County.

Bardstown saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ella Sharp, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Bardstown's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Thomas Nelson, they moved to 3-3 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Thomas Nelson beat Bardstown 21-17 when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Will the Generals repeat their success, or do the Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
