Basketball Recap: Elijah Estrada's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Eureka over Shasta

Eureka was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 57-45 to the Shasta Wolves. The Loggers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Wolves earlier this season, when they won 72-67.

Eureka lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Elijah Estrada, who posted 12 points and six boards. Another player making a difference was Xavier De La Rosa, who had 12 points and six rebounds.

Eureka's loss dropped their record down to 14-7. As for Shasta, their win bumped their record up to 10-12.

Eureka didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 75-46 victory against South Fork on the 27th. As for Shasta, they have also already played their next matchup, a 58-39 win against Orland on the 29th.
