Elk Lake is a perfect 10-0 against Mountain View since April of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Warriors will be playing in front of their home fans against the Eagles at 4:30 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Mountain View will be up against a hot Elk Lake squad: the team just extended their winning streak to six. The Warriors blew past Blue Ridge 8-1 on Friday. Eight seems to be a good number for the Warriors as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Meanwhile, Mountain View can bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. Everything went their way against MMI Preparatory School as they made off with a 19-9 win. The Eagles' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

The team relied heavily on Emma Thatcher, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run and three runs. That home run was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Izzy Hobart, who went 1-for-3 with three runs.

Elk Lake's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-3. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.3 runs over those games. As for Mountain View, their victory bumped their record up to 2-6.

Elk Lake took their win against Mountain View in their previous meeting on April 4th by a conclusive 16-2 score. Do the Warriors have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
