Volleyball Recap: Hillcrest Comes Up Short

Hillcrest lost against West Plains back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Hornets lost 3-0 to the Zizzers. The Hornets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The final score came out to 25-13, 25-17, 25-14.

Alyssa Brison paced Hillcrest's offense, picking up six kills. Brison got some help from KeAshza Roy and her 16 assists. Finally, Brison was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high four blocks.

Hillcrest's loss dropped their record down to 7-18-2. As for West Plains, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 16 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-5-1 record this season.

Hillcrest will take on Branson at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for West Plains, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Knob Noster on the 11th.
