Baseball Recap: Eustis Gets the Win

After losing to Pine Ridge the last time they met, Eustis decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Eustis came out on top against Pine Ridge by a score of 8-5 on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for Eustis.

Braeden Barnes was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Ethan Jackson also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

Eustis always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .568. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Pine Ridge only posted an OBP of .394.

Eustis' record is now 8-3. As for Pine Ridge, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-7.

Coming up, Eustis will be playing at home against The Villages Charter at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Panthers 4.1, the Buffalo 2.5) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Pine Ridge, they are taking a road trip to face off against Atlantic at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
