Basketball Recap: Wood Memorial Trojans vs. Cannelton Bulldogs
With a playoff game on the line, the Wood Memorial Trojans rose to the challenge on Friday. They claimed a resounding 65-16 victory over the Bulldogs on the road. Wood Memorial has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matches by 20 points or more this season.
Wood Memorial has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-10 record this season. As for Cannelton, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-19.
Wood Memorial won't have much time to rest: their next match is against the Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on February 3rd. Cannelton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
