Baseball Recap: Cordova's Undefeated Season over After Five Games

Cordova had taken Southwind down for three straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Tuesday. The Wolves fell just short of the Jaguars by a score of 12-11. The loss was the Wolves' first of the season.

Logan Chapman and Terralonce Parker did some serious damage despite the final result: Chapman scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances, while Parker scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-2. Noahrrentine Barrentine was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3.

Having lost for the first time this season, Cordova fell to 4-1. As for Southwind, their victory bumped their record up to 7-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cordova will square off against Trezevant at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Southwind, they will challenge Raleigh-Egypt at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
