Basketball Recap: Salesian College Preparatory Wins Going Away Against Oakland Tech

Salesian College Preparatory had to kick off their season on the road on Saturday, but they showed no ill effects. They blew past the Oakland Tech Bulldogs 77-54. That's more bragging rights for the Pride, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Oakland Tech's loss came despite strong showings from Xavier Williams and Jasen Davis. Williams posted 13 points, while Davis put up 11 points. Davis is also on a roll when it comes to three-point shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last three games he's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Kesyn Haggins, who had six points.

Oakland Tech's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Salesian College Preparatory will square off against Ygnacio Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Oakland Tech, they will challenge Branson at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
