Basketball Recap: San Juan Takes a Loss

San Juan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They took a 62-43 bruising from the Rio Vista Rams. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Spartans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 48-46 back in January.

Isaiah Holley was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 24 points and 11 boards for Rio Vista. With that strong performance, Holley is now averaging an impressive 8.2 rebounds per game. Another player making a difference was Luke Fortes, who went 6 of 12 on his way to 15 points and five boards.

San Juan's loss dropped their record down to 2-21. As for Rio Vista, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-14.

San Juan has already played their next contest (against Lindhurst), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Rio Vista didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 48-45 defeat against Golden Sierra on the 31st.
