Soccer Recap: Montini Catholic Comes Up Short

Montini Catholic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-4 heartbreaker at the hands of the Wheaton Academy Warriors. While losing is never fun, Montini Catholic can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 250th, while Wheaton Academy are ranked 95th).

Montini Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Wheaton Academy, they pushed their record up to 13-4-4 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Montini Catholic does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Wheaton Academy, they will challenge Lemont at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
