Soccer Recap: Montini Catholic Comes Up Short

Montini Catholic's game on Tuesday was all tied up 2-2 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell just short of the Wheaton Academy Warriors by a score of 5-4. Even if Montini Catholic couldn't come away with the victory, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their offense, which had struggled int the games prior.

They hit Wheaton Academy with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Maggie Nielsen (2), Liliana Cruz, and Annalee DeFeo.

Montini Catholic is on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-11. As for Wheaton Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-4-4 record this season.

Montini Catholic does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Wheaton Academy, they will head out to square off against Lemont at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
