Volleyball Recap: Amherst Takes a Loss

Amherst lost against Ashwaubenon back in September of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Falcons fell 2-0 to the Jaguars.

Amherst was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-22.

Sascha Gollon paced Amherst's offense, picking up six kills. Gollon got some help from Kinzee Martin and her eight assists.

Amherst's defeat dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Ashwaubenon, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-8.

Amherst wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-2 victory against Bonduel on the 15th. As for Ashwaubenon, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Denmark on the 13th.
