Softball Recap: Winter Park Comes Up Short

Winter Park fell victim to Horizon and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the Horizon Hawks, falling 6-0. The Wildcats' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it four in a row.

Winter Park's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Horizon, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 10-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. After both having extra time off, Winter Park and East River will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field one another at 7:00 p.m. on March 25th. Winter Park is facing East River at the right time seeing as East River is stuck on a three-game losing streak. Horizon will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Foundation Academy at 6:30 p.m. on March 25th. Horizon's pitching crew has only allowed 0.9 runs per game this season, so Foundation Academy's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
