Softball Recap: Como-Pickton Takes Down Maud in a Playoff Battle

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Como-Pickton had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They beat the Maud Cardinals by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 16-5. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won 16 contests by ten runs or more so far this season.

The win (which was Como-Pickton's 14th in a row) raised their record to 20-7. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.1 runs on average over those games. As for Maud, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 19-8.

Como-Pickton will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Cardinals: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled on Friday.
