Soccer Recap: Colonie Central Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Colonie Central can now relate to. They fell just short of the Guilderland Flying Dutchmen by a score of 1-0 on Thursday. While losing is never fun, Colonie Central can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York soccer rankings (they are ranked 113th, while Guilderland are ranked 27th).

Colonie Central has also been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-8-1 record this season. As for Guilderland, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-5-3.

Colonie Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Guilderland, they wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next contest, a 0-0 victory against Shaker on the 27th.
