Football Recap: Lopez Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Lopez had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 26 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They took down the Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Southwest Javelinas 34-18. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Lobos also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

Lopez didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Diego Guerra and Ryan Carmona. Pedro Lopez was another major factor on D, picking up three sacks, forcing one fumble, and making nine total tackles.

Lopez's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Southwest, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.
