Volleyball Recap: South Tahoe Extends Winning Streak to Three

South Tahoe had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Debbie Smith CTE Academy Mavericks as they made off with a 3-0 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

South Tahoe was especially dominant in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-18, 25-21.

Viviana Wilson paced South Tahoe's offense, picking up nine kills. Wilson got some help from Camdyn Maliska and her 25 assists. Wilson was also solid from the service line: she led the team with seven aces.

South Tahoe's win bumped their record up to 16-12. As for Debbie Smith CTE Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-13.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. South Tahoe will challenge rival Truckee at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Debbie Smith CTE Academy is set to square off against their familiar foe Incline at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
