Volleyball Recap: Rochester's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Saturday

Rochester was the 3-0 winner over Bremen when they last played one another back in October of 2020, but their luck changed this time around. The Zebras took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lions on Saturday. The Zebras' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Rochester may have fallen short, but they were sure consistent: they scored 17 points in every single set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-17.

Amara Wieringa paced Rochester's offense, picking up four kills. Wieringa got some help from Aubrey Wilson and her six assists.

Rochester's defeat dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Bremen, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record this season.

Rochester didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Culver Academies on the 27th. As for Bremen, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-1 defeat against South Bend Adams on the 27th.
