Softball Recap: Lakeland Christian Gets the Win

Lakeland Christian lost to Davenport back in April of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Monday. The Vikings walked away with a 12-8 win over the Broncos. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Vikings.

Peyton McNab was a standout: she scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in RBI (three). Another player making a difference was Paityn Donalson, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.

Lakeland Christian's victory bumped their record up to 11-7. As for Davenport, they now have a losing record of 8-9.

Looking ahead, Lakeland Christian will venture away from home to face off against Inspiration Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Davenport, they will welcome Lake Gibson at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Broncos' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Braves have averaged an impressive 9.1 runs per game this season.
