Goliad came tearing into Friday's contest with 27 straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Nixon-Smiley Mustangs as they made off with a 3-0 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Goliad was: they took every set by at least 19 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-6, 25-3, 25-5.

Goliad's win bumped their record up to 35-3. As for Nixon-Smiley, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-18 record this season.
