Basketball Game Preview: Haxtun Fightin' Bulldogs vs. Del Norte Tigers

The Haxtun Fightin' Bulldogs will take on the Del Norte Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Haxtun is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Byers just ended the team's eight-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a 52-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs.

Meanwhile, Del Norte earned a 45-38 win over Sangre de Cristo on Saturday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tigers.

Haxtun better keep an eye on Kingston Wilcox. He was instrumental in Del Norte's win, going 5-for-6 to rack up 12 points. Thanks to that strong game, Wilcox now owns an excellent 42.9% three-point shooting accuracy. The team also got some help courtesy of Lashawn Trujillo, who posted nine points in addition to seven boards and six steals.

Del Norte was working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. They are 7-3 when they've passed the ball that well.

Del Norte now has a winning record of 11-10. As for Haxtun, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-9.
