Basketball Recap: Lanier County Takes a Loss

Lanier County lost against Clinch County back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Lanier County Bulldogs were beaten by the Clinch County Panthers 67-39. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 359th, while the Panthers are ranked 159th).

Lanier County's defeat dropped their record down to 13-9. As for Clinch County, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 17-2.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Atkinson County the next time they take the court. Clinch County will host Atkinson County at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while Lanier County will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
