Baseball Recap: Dansville Has No Trouble Against Warsaw

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Dansville). They blew past the Warsaw Tigers 12-2 on Saturday. The Mustangs haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Brady Henchen was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and only one walk). Henchen was also big at the plate, going 3-for-5 with four runs, two stolen bases, and three RBI.

In other batting news, Jake Kreiley was incredible, going 3-for-5 with three runs, three RBI, and two doubles. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Cam Delaney was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Dansville always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .638. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Dansville now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Warsaw, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.

The future could be bright for both Dansville and Warsaw: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. The Mustangs will look to extend Hornell's four-game losing streak when they meet at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Warsaw will try to hand Caledonia-Mumford their fourth-straight loss when the two meet at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
