Baseball Recap: Fort Wayne South Side Has No Trouble Against Angola

Fort Wayne South Side not only won on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since April 20, 2024. They put the hurt on the Angola Hornets with a sharp 16-6 victory. This was a revenge game for the Archers: when they faced off against the Hornets on Saturday, they had to take a 4-3 defeat.

Casen Harl was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was David Sandoval, who scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.

The win got Fort Wayne South Side back to even at 1-1. As for Angola, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 1-1.
