Volleyball Recap: Philo Takes a Loss

Philo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Tri-Valley Scotties, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Scotties this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on September 2nd.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-11, 25-12.

Despite the loss, Philo saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Riley Hampp had nine digs and nine assists.

Philo's defeat dropped their record down to 6-13. As for Tri-Valley, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 13-5.

Philo has already played their next contest, a 3-2 victory against Cambridge on the 4th. As for Tri-Valley, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against John Glenn on the 2nd.
