Volleyball Recap: St. Anne-Pacelli Gets the Win

St. Anne-Pacelli won the last time they faced Columbus and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Vikings won by a set and slipped past the Blue Devils 2-1.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was St. Anne-Pacelli who won the one that mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 21-25, 15-13.

Elly Jane Haag paced St. Anne-Pacelli's offense, picking up eight kills. Haag got some help from Anna Do and her 22 assists. Haag also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Malia Resnick, racking up three apiece.

St. Anne-Pacelli's victory bumped their record up to 10-1. As for Columbus, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Anne-Pacelli will challenge Shaw at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Columbus, they will face off against Harris County on Thursday.
