Winning always takes teamwork, but on Tuesday Kennedy Smith stepped things up a notch to give Burkburnett the 'W'. Smith turned in her biggest game of the season, striking out 13 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.

Coming up, Smith and Burkburnett will take on Lake Worth at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
