Basketball Recap: Lame Deer Finds Playoff Glory Versus Colstrip

It's playoff time, and Lame Deer had no trouble coming through when it counted. They strolled past the Colstrip Colts with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 84-67. The Morning Stars haven't had any issues with the Colts recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Semaj Bird-Killsnight continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 13-for-28 to rack up 32 points along with seven boards and six steals. His afternoon made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least 17 points. Aalyias Shoulderblade was another key player, putting up nine points in addition to seven assists and four steals.

Lame Deer smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in eight consecutive matches.

Lame Deer's win bumped their record up to 14-7. As for Colstrip, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-9.

Lame Deer didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 70-69 defeat against St. Labre Indian Catholic on the 22nd. Colstrip does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
