It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Union Pines had no problem doing just that on Friday. They breezed past the Lee County Yellow Jackets to the tune of 35-0. Winning may never get old, but the Vikings sure are getting used to it with their ninth in a row.

Union Pines was led to victory by Adrian Colon and Ian Hicks. Colon gained 117 total yards and three touchdowns, while Hicks threw for 225 yards and three TDs while completing 85% of his passes. Colon is also on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in each of the last four games he's played.

Union Pines' victory bumped their record up to 10-1. As for Lee County, their loss dropped their record down to 7-5.

Coming up, Union Pines will host Williams at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Vikings 6.2, the Bulldogs 11.7) so any points scored will be well earned. Lee County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
