While New Holstein's victory against Brillion wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Huskies won by a run and slipped past the Lions 4-3. The Huskies haven't had any issues with the Lions recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Makayla Meyer spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on eight hits and racked up ten Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Kourtney Karls was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024. Riley Danes was another key player, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with two runs.

New Holstein's victory bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Brillion, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 10-1.
