Basketball Recap: Northern Cass Comes Up Short

Northern Cass was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 52-49 heartbreaker at the hands of the Midway/Minto Mustangs. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Jaguars have suffered since February 6, 2024.

Northern Cass' loss dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Midway/Minto, the win was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northern Cass will square off against Valley City at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Midway/Minto, they will host North Border co-op [Walhalla/Pembina] at 7:15 p.m. on February 20th.
