Trey Sanders is the No. 1 rated running back in Class of 2019 and No. 7 recruit overall.

IMG Academy (Bradenton, Fla.) incoming senior Trey Sanders always dreamed of being the nation's top-rated high school running back.

Now that he is, he told 247Sports his list of inspirations were quite diverse, from the shifty, speedy moves of Tavon Austin, to the powerful styles of Derrick Henry and Najee Harris.

The 5-foot-11, 217-pound Sanders is not only the top-ranked running back in the country and No. 7 recruit overall, but he also makes up the most dynamic backfield in the land.

"Growing up I wanted to be the No. 1 running back, be the top player in the country," Sanders told 247Sports.

Said Sanders' brother Umstead: "We grew up watching other No. 1 running backs. We watched them growing up saying it's cool to see these people are No. 1 never really thinking and then out of nowhere he blew up and became No. 1 so quick."
