Basketball Game Preview: Bay Rockets vs. Normandy Invaders

The Bay Rockets will take on the Normandy Invaders at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Bay is coming into the matchup on a six-game losing streak.

On Tuesday, Bay ended up a good deal behind Avon and lost 67-52. While losing is never fun, the Rockets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 519th, while the Eagles are ranked 101st).

The losing side was boosted by Ryan Miller, who shot 53% from the field on his way to 20 points. That was a full 38.5% of Bay's points, marking the third time in a row Miller has posted more than a third of the team's points. Emmitt Naughton was another key player, going 5-for-9 en route to 11 points.

Meanwhile, Normandy didn't have quite enough to beat Valley Forge on Wednesday and fell 41-38.

Bay's defeat dropped their record down to 7-14. As for Normandy, their loss dropped their record down to 11-9.

Things could have been worse for Bay, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 61-47 loss to Normandy in their previous meeting back in January.
