Volleyball Recap: Parkridge Christian Comes Up Short

Parkridge Christian came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 3-0 to the Highlands Christian Knights. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on September 8th.

The match finished with set scores of 25-5, 25-10, 25-3.

Bella Riggs paced Parkridge Christian's offense, picking up three kills. Riggs got some help from Magnolia Williamson and her four assists.

Leading Highlands Christian to victory were Ali Diaz and Emily Eades. Diaz had seven digs and two aces, while Eades had 16 digs and three aces. That's the most aces Eades has posted over her last four contests.

The loss snapped Parkridge Christian's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 5-5 record. As for Highlands Christian, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 14-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Parkridge Christian will challenge Abundant Life Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Highlands Christian, they will head out to square off against Atlantic Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
