It was a good run, but Syracuse unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-match winning streak on Saturday. They fell 2-0 to the Spearville Lancers.

Syracuse was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-23.

Hailey Hampton paced Syracuse's offense, picking up five kills. Hampton got some help from Anelixz Moreno and her four assists. Sophie Gould controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Syracuse's defeat dropped their record down to 15-6. As for Spearville, their win bumped their record up to 20-3.

Syracuse didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Holcomb on the 4th. As for Spearville, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Stanton County on the 4th.
