Pote Came Up Big in BVCHEA Homeschool's 54-50 Defeat

Starting off the list is BVCHEA HomeSchool's Charlie Pote, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Pote rushed for 199 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 9.0 yards per carry, and also threw for 146 yards and four touchdowns. His rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 120 rushing yards.

Noah Young's big game helped extend Founders Classical Academy's winning streak to four on Saturday. Waco Christian had no answer to Young as he rushed for 146 yards and three touchdowns on only five carries. Young's longest rush was for an impressive 67 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.

Founders Classical Academy's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-2. Young and Founders Classical Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against Our Lady of the Hills at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Evan Spondike was instrumental in extending Gloria Deo Academy's winning streak to five on Friday. Spondike turned in nothing short of a gem, picking up 72 receiving yards and two touchdowns. He is on a roll when it comes to receiving touchdowns, as he's now hauled in two or more in the last three games he's played.

Spondike might have his next game, a road matchup with Sunnybrook Christian, circled on his calendar. Spondike picked up 80 receiving yards and two touchdowns the last time he and Sunnybrook Christian duked it out back in October of 2023.
