After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Palm Beach Gardens, Atlantic was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Leonard Lancers 4-3. This was payback for the Eagles, who suffered an 8-6 loss the last time these two teams met.
Atlantic's victory was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Michael Bird, who went 2-for-4 with one RBI.
The win got Atlantic back to even at 1-1. As for Leonard, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.
