Soccer Recap: Smithton Takes a Loss

Smithton fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Lone Jack on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Mules by a score of 4-3. The defeat continues a trend for Smithton in their meetings with Lone Jack: they've now lost four in a row.

Smithton's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Lone Jack, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.

Smithton will head out on the road to face off against Stover at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Lone Jack, they will challenge Warrensburg at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
