Softball Recap: Sky View Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Sky View extended their winning streak to three on Friday, bumping them up to 3-3. They put the hurt on the Viewmont Vikings with a sharp 7-0 win. The Bobcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three games by seven runs or more this season.

Not much got past Avaree Haramoto, who gave up just a hit and racked up 15 Ks to keep Viewmont off the board.

On the hitting side, Jaycee Lish was excellent, going 3-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Brylee Andrus was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Sky View kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

As for Viewmont, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2. Having soared to a lofty 14 runs in the game before, their shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

On Viewmont's side, London Dickerson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and five unearned) runs on 11 hits and racked up 13 Ks. Those 13 strikeouts set a new season-high mark for Dickerson.

Sky View didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 18-0 victory against Woods Cross on the 14th. As for Viewmont, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 14-0 win against Milford on the 14th.
