Hayfork took a three-set loss the last time they faced off against Tulelake, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Timberjacks skirted past the Honkers 3-2. For the Timberjacks, this counts as revenge for the 3-0 victory the Honkers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2024.

Hayfork wouldn't go down easily and took Tulelake into a fifth set where they got it done with a four-point win. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-14, 19-25, 22-25, 15-11.

Sophie Eslick paced Hayfork's offense, picking up 14 kills. Eslick got some help from Lydia Yarbrough and her 49 assists.

The win made it two in a row for Hayfork and bumps their season record up to 4-2. As for Tulelake, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Hayfork wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-2 victory against Los Molinos on the 2nd. As for Tulelake, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Happy Camp at 4:00 p.m. on the 9th.
