Softball Recap: St. Anthony Takes a Loss

St. Anthony was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Saint Joseph Jesters, falling 17-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Jesters this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-1 last Thursday.

St. Anthony's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Saint Joseph, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-8.

Coming up, St. Anthony will challenge Paraclete at 3:15 p.m. on Monday. The Spirits' pitching crew has only allowed 2.6 runs per game this season, so the Saints' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Saint Joseph, they will welcome Long Beach Poly at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
